Police officers are known for their bravery in protecting human lives, but some go above and beyond to save animals too. Such was the case of a brave police officer who risked his life to save a helpless dog trapped in a burning building.
The dramatic scene, which took place in Mexico, was captured on video and shared by the Federal Police as a reminder to the public that police officers are always ready to defend everyone, including animals, even if it means putting their own lives at risk.
The officers responded to a house fire and quickly discovered a terrified dog, named Lulu, trapped behind a fence as the fire advanced rapidly. Without hesitation, one of the policemen ran over to help the creature. In the video, we see the heroic officer surround the dog, eventually managing to pick up the puppy and carry her to safety.
